I've been to a lot of places and outfitters, and Piney Woods is one of the best. The attention and Bill's experience make this one of the best and memorable experiences I have ever had on a hunt. Food was excellent, the lodge was comfortable and clean, lots of deer, great people, good time -- what else is there? Best of all, I made a lot of new friends. My stay at Piney Woods has been both pleasant and productive. Although the big one has eluded me, I have seen plenty of deer and turkeys. I have spotted deer on every sitting. The stands are comfortable and well-placed, and the wind has been perfect every time. This is a testament to the high level of experience and attention to detail that Bill has shown. The lodge is very comfortable and the food was great. My only regret is that I only booked a three-day hunt. Next time will be five.

Excellent accommodations and hunting guides. Warm weather slowed things down, but that is nature. Saw 14 deer in three days with 50- to 60-degree weather. No complaints.

Any time I spend in the woods with a gun is a good time. I finally got to shoot a buck with my 20-year-old 7-mm mag rifle. It was also the first deer that I shot since moving back to N.C. I know that my wife and I will hunt here next year.
